DEPARTMENT OF IT & COMPUTER SCIENCE

Established in the year 2002 with B.Sc Information Technology course. Since then, the department has grown into Post Graduate Department in the year 2010. In 2015 the department added one more course B.Sc Computer Science. The department visualized immense growth throughout the years. The department has won University rank in consecutive years Arya Shaji was the 2015 Third rank holder in B.Sc IT. She improved upon it by securing the First rank in M.Sc IT in 2017. We are proud of the graduates of our programmes, many of whom are working with IT companies such as TCS, Wipro and educational institutions in both India and abroad.

A team of 8 dedicated and dynamic teachers constitute the faculty. All the faculty members are well-qualified and have rich teaching experience.

The Computer Science & Information Technology course is aimed at providing knowledge in both theoretical and practical aspects of computer science and information technology.

The department conducted several seminars, workshops, and training programmes to make the students intellectually qualified and also professional expertise, work ethic and leadership skills. Students are required to undertake mini projects and main projects which help to put them through an industry-like situation.

VISION:- The Department of CS and IT is to provide quality education to mould international competent and qualified computer professionals with creative mastery.

MISSION:- The department provides high-quality professional training for developing innovative and creative problem-solving skills and to encourage moral values at the Postgraduate and Undergraduate levels.
